WTA Trail Leader Jane Baker provides sweet treats to hard workers.
The West Creek Trail is often West Creek. Work was done to divert water
from the trail Some portions of trail were being eroded away and had to
have rocks built into the banks for support.
Stream channels had to be dug next to the trail to carry water away from the trail.
Drain ditches dug to divert water from the trail. They need to be wide and deep but
not so deep that they interrupt the hikers and cyclists that will use the trail.
Lots of down trees required special removal with a crosscut saw so that the collapse of the log
does not trap the saw.
Lots of log removal here and a new drain ditch.
