SPOKANE RIVER FEST - WORK PROJECTS

Noxious Weed Service Project 10:30 AM to 12 Noon:

Come and help remove two of the most common noxious weeds in Highbridge and People's Park - knapweed and toad flax. Volunteers are encouraged to bring hoes or shovels and gloves. Participants will meet the project leaders at the south end of the Sandifur Bridge, near the People's Park parking lot.

Trail Maintenance Work with The Fat Tire Trail Riders' Club

The Fat Tire Trail Riders' Club (FTTRC) will be doing trail maintenance work at Riverfest. Participants will meet at 10:15 AM at the FTTRC booth. Their goals are to improve a steep corner on the west end of High Bridge Park near some of the disc golf baskets and to improve drainage on several other sections of trail in the park. The FTTRC works with hand tools and a small crew of volunteers, and they use the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) standard for sustainable trail building. For more information, you may visit their website The Fat Tire Trail Riders' Club.
